Terms of Service

Last updated: August 10, 2026

01Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using blob (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use blob on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

02Description of Service

blob is a lightweight, keyboard-first note-taking application. It lets you create, edit, organise into folders, link, search and store notes. Notes are written to storage inside your own browser and synced to our servers so the same workspace is available wherever you sign in.

blob is early software and under active development. We may add, change or remove features. Expect rough edges, and expect them to be fixed.

03Accounts

blob requires an account — there is no anonymous mode today. You can sign in with Google, GitHub or GitLab, or with a one-time code sent to your email address. Because an account is required, your notes are synced to our servers; syncing is not an optional extra you can switch off.

You are responsible for the security of the email account and identity provider you sign in with — whoever controls those controls your blob account. Do not share your login, and do not use anyone else’s. You accept responsibility for activity that happens under your account, and you agree to tell us promptly if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

04Your Content

Ownership

“Your Content” means everything you write, paste or upload into blob — note titles and bodies, folders, links and images. Your Content belongs to you. We claim no ownership rights in it, and nothing in these Terms restricts what you may do with it.

The licence you grant us

To run the Service at all, we need narrow technical permission to handle Your Content. You therefore grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, host, cache, back up, transmit and display Your Content — solely to operate and provide the Service to you, and for no other purpose. This licence exists so the software can function; it is not a licence to publish, sell, analyse or train models on your notes. It ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the backup timelines described below.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for Your Content. You confirm that you own it or otherwise have the rights needed to store it with us, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights, and does not break any applicable law.

Monitoring

We do not read your notes and we have no obligation to monitor them. We may, however, act on content that is reported to us or that we otherwise become aware of, where doing so is necessary to comply with the law or to enforce these Terms.

05Restrictions on Your Use

You may not use blob to:

  • do anything illegal, or store material that is unlawful to possess or distribute
  • upload, store or distribute malware, viruses, worms or other harmful code
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, to other users’ accounts, or to any system or network connected to it
  • abuse or spam the Service — including automated scraping, flooding it with requests, or deliberately exceeding fair-usage limits
  • harm, harass, threaten, defame or impersonate other people
  • infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights
  • disable, overburden, disrupt or impair the Service, or interfere with anyone else’s use of it
  • reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where the law expressly permits it
  • resell the Service or operate it as your own product without our written permission

We may investigate suspected breaches, and may suspend or terminate access without prior notice where the harm is serious or ongoing.

06Service Availability and Data Loss

blob is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise any particular level of uptime. The Service may be interrupted by maintenance, by outages at our infrastructure providers, or by causes outside our control.

This deserves emphasis in a notes application: although blob keeps a local copy and is designed to sync reliably, no software is immune to bugs, to a browser clearing its storage, or to a provider failure. Keep your own copies of anything you genuinely cannot afford to lose.

07Price

blob is currently free, and we do not collect payment details or process payments. If we introduce paid plans in future, we will announce it in advance, and features you rely on today will not disappear behind a paywall without notice.

08Third-Party Services

blob runs on infrastructure operated by Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) and Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), and offers sign-in through Google, GitHub and GitLab. Those providers’ own terms govern their services. An outage, policy change or account action on their side can affect blob, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

09Termination and Deletion

You can stop using blob at any time. You can delete your account yourself from Settings → Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your notes, folders, links and profile from our database.

Deleting a single note moves it to trash first, where it can be restored; emptying the trash removes it from our database. After deletion, copies may remain in our provider’s routine backups for a short period before those rotate out.

If self-service deletion fails for any reason, email huynhtrungduc.growth@gmail.com and we will complete it for you.

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your notes.

10Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or available at any particular time or place, that defects will be corrected, or that it will meet your requirements.

11Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, blob is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill or lost business, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — whether or not we were advised such damage was possible.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms as the product changes. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use blob after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and delete your account.

13Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, and disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Vietnam — unless mandatory consumer-protection law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
